Kate Upton In A Bathing Suit In Zero Gravity For 2014 Sports Illustrated - 15 Pics and Video.

As part of the enormous 50th Anniversary Edition of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, the buxom and beautiful Kate Upton was photographed at Cape Canaveral in their zero gravity chamber by James Macari.

A Look At The Barbie Shoot For The 2014 SI Swimsuit Edition.

News has broken that this year's cover model for the annually anticipated Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is none other than the disproportionately endowed blonde we know and love as Barbie.

For the 50th Anniversary issue Mattel teamed up with SI for the cover shoot and 4 page interior article which features a 1959 vintage Barbie doll in her classic black and white chevron suit, a new limited edition Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Barbie Doll in a contemporary version of the black and white bathing suit and a spread of 17 dolls from Mattel's Barbie Basics collection.

The partnership between the two brands includes the four-page advertising feature in the magazine, video clips; a cover wrap that will appear on 1,000 copies of the issue, declaring Barbie to be “The Doll That Started It All”; a limited-edition Sports Illustrated Barbie, to be sold exclusively on Target.com; and a beach-themed party on Monday night in Lower Manhattan.

Feelings are mixed about the doll gracing the cover, but that's no surprise given that both Barbie and SI have long been criticized about their unrealistic portrayals of women.

The dolls were shot by photographer Walter Iooss, who has shot many of the scantily clad SI Swimsuit models of the past.

Vanity Fair's 2014 Hollywood Issue Cover, Close Up & Behind The Scenes.

On February 11th, The 20th Hollywood Issue of Vanity Fair hits the newsstands. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, the magazine celebrates a year of spectacular film with a group of distinguished actors on the cover as it has done annually for the past two decades.

Left half of the full shot:

Right half of the full shot:

This is the most racially diverse cover ever for the annual Hollywood Issue, which includes six actors of color - a nod to both Hollywood's embrace of more racially diverse films and roles as well as to progress for Vanity Fair who has been criticized in the past for being both "too white' and 'too sexist." Of the 19 previous Hollywood Issues, the majority of actors gracing the covers have been white, although occasionally an asian, latino and/or black actor has been featured among the group. But to have six black actors on the cover is a welcome record for Vanity Fair.

The cover as it appears closed and the full fold-out:

The cover, a three-panel foldout, features Oscar nominees Julia Roberts (August: Osage County), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club), and Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), as well as Idris Elba (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), George Clooney (Gravity), Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station), Naomie Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), Brie Larson (Short Term 12), Chadwick Boseman (42), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street), and Léa Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Color).

The magazine will be on national newsstands on February 11.

Actress Tilda Swinton Kills It In These Fabulous Fashions Shots by Craig McDean

above: Tilda Swinton in Mark Fast

She may look a bit alien, but Scottish actress and artist Tilda Swinton knows how to strike a pose.  The muse for many fashion designers, you can see why in these stunning photos. AnOther Magazine has a flashback section in which they show the best bits from their archives and these images stopped me in my tracks. They are from the magazine's S/S09 issue's cover shoot, in which Tilda was photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Panos Yiapanis wearing some of that season's most exciting new designers and looking like a million bucks. May be a few years old, but Tilda, the photography and even the fashions hold up nicely.

The Red Carpet Evolution of Drew Barrymore (Revised)

Apologies to Harper's Bazaar, but my slideshow is better. And 34 images instead of 30.
I chose to replace several images of Drew at red carpet events because I felt I found better photos than those that Harper's Bazaar had included. Either better images of the gowns, or more flattering photos of Drew. I also chose to add four more images from other premieres and red carpet events.

1. Drew at the 1983 Oscars:

2. Demonstrating a precocious talent for red carpet elegance at the 1984 People's Choice Awards.

3. Barrymore in a zigzag-patterned gown at the London premiere of Scream in 1997.

4. In 1998, the Ever After star wears a fairy-tale-worthy frock to an event in Italy.

5. Barrymore chose an embellished deep-red number for the 1998 premiere of Home Fries.

6. Whimsy alert: Ever-playful Barrymore adds a double dose of daisies to a glittering gown at the 1998 Academy Awards.

7. Everything's coming up roses for Barrymore, in a blooming floral design at the 1998 premiere of The Wedding Singer.

8. For the 2003 premiere of Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle Barrymore goes for sexy over angelic with a revealing suit.

9. Red pumps popped against Drew's low-cut lace number at the 2004 premiere of 50 First Dates.

10. Barrymore in a sleek black Atelier Versace gown at the 2005 Academy Awards.

11. Drew ratcheted up the glam factor in a strapless peekaboo lace gown at the 2006 Met Gala.

12. Barrymore celebrates her appointment as CoverGirl spokeswoman in a cheerfully hued Carolina Herrera dress in 2007.

13. Barrymore in a draped Donna Karan gown at the New York premiere of Music and Lyrics in 2007.

14. Pockets: the smartest thing to happen to formal gowns since getting rid of hoops. Two arms full of bangles set off the metallic accents on Drew's Roberto Cavalli halter gown at the L.A. premiere of Music and Lyrics.

15. Drew makes fashion lovers' hearts sing in this strapless silver John Galliano number at the London premiere of Music and Lyrics.

16. Drew at the 2006 Borat Premier in a Marc Jacobs blouse and Versace pants:

17. Going green in a Christian Dior gown at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Lucky You in 2007.

18. Monique Lhuillier created the blush-colored confection Drew wore to the 2009 Emmys.

19. Talk about floating down the red carpet: Drew shows up for the 2009 Golden Globes in an ethereal pastel blue gown by John Galliano for Dior.

20. At the L.A. premiere of Grey Gardens in an Andrew Gn gown with a jeweled halter neck.

21. Glam in Alberta Ferretti at the New York premiere of Grey Gardens in 2009.
